Delete my data

Last updated: 22 September 2026

BluePIN has no user accounts: there is no name, email or password to delete. The only thing the portal stores for each linked device is the minimum needed to work (see below), and it can be deleted instantly from the app itself, with no need to write to us.

Instant deletion from the app (recommended)

On any device running BluePIN, go to My account → Log out. This does two things at once, immediately:

  • deletes the playlist, credentials and everything else stored on the device;
  • asks the portal to completely remove that device's record: its public key, its creation and last-seen dates, and any configuration still queued for delivery. Nothing is left.

No account or password is needed to do this: whoever holds the device can delete it, the same way it was set up.

If the device isn't available anymore

If you can't access the device (it broke, was sold, or was lost), write to hello@bluepin.club stating which device it is (make and model, and roughly when it was linked). We'll identify it and remove it the same way as "Log out", usually within 48 hours, and confirm by email once it's done.

What data is deleted

DataThe device's public key (random, unrelated to your identity), device type, and creation/last-seen dates
When it's deletedImmediately, on log out or on request by email

Playlists (server, username, password) travel end-to-end encrypted: the portal can never read them, so there is nothing to "unprotect" when deleting them; they are removed from the delivery queue as soon as the device receives them, or after 7 days if nobody picks them up.

The IP address is only kept in the web server's technical logs, for security, and is deleted on its own after 14 days.

Automatic deletion for inactivity

Even if you ask for nothing, a device that stops connecting is deleted on its own: after 6 months of inactivity its record is fully removed, the same as with "Log out".
