Your encrypted, private player

Watch your live video and your video library on your TV, phone or computer. Your playlist travels encrypted from your phone and only your device can read it: not even we can.

As simple as that

1

Open BluePIN on your device

A 6-letter code and a QR code appear. The app ships with no content: it is an empty player until you give it your playlist.

2

Scan the QR with your phone

Or go to bluepin.club and enter the code. Paste your playlist or server link and, if you have one, your video library.

3

Encrypted, delivered on its own

Your browser encrypts it for that device and, in seconds, it sets itself up. Nothing to type with the remote.

Everything it does

Live video with guide

Live video with what is on now and next, progress bar, quick switching with the remote and programme guide.

Full video library

Your Jellyfin library with details, cast, chapters, series by season, "continue watching" and similar titles.

Audio and subtitles

Pick the audio track and subtitles from a menu while you watch. Forced subtitles turn on by themselves.

Hotel / travel mode

On someone else's device, turn on safe sign-out: after 8 or 24 hours the session closes and the playlist is erased.

Always up to date

Refresh your playlists with one button. If you change playlist or server, it arrives from the portal: no reinstalling.

You decide what is used

Turn live video or the video library on or off on each device. Turning it off signs out and frees the connection.

Plays almost anything

We use your device's built-in player and, if a video does not start, it switches to another engine included in the app so you can watch without doing anything. Supports MPEG-2, HEVC (H.265), Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital+, DTS, MKV and MPEG-TS.

Pick up where you left off

Start a movie on the TV and finish it on your phone: the video library remembers where you were on all your devices.

Real privacy

End-to-end encryption

When you install the app, your device generates a cryptographic key pair. The private key never leaves it: it is held in the system secure store (Keychain on iOS and tvOS, Keystore on Android).

When you send a list from this site, it is encrypted in your own browser against that device's public key, using Curve25519 with XSalsa20-Poly1305 (NaCl sealed boxes). What reaches our server is already a block only your device can open.

This is not an internal policy promise: it is a technical impossibility. We do not hold the key to decrypt it.

Exactly what we store

Opaque identifierA random value that neither contains nor derives from any personal data. It cannot tell us who you are.
Public keyNeeded in order to encrypt towards your device. By definition it is meant to be known and cannot decrypt anything.
Last-seen dateSo that devices dormant for months can be retired.

And nothing else. Not your name, your email, your server's address, your username, your password, nor what you watch. The list travels encrypted and is deleted from our servers as soon as your device collects it.

About content

  • We supply no contentBluePIN is only a player. It ships no lists, recommends no providers and neither distributes nor hosts material of any kind.
  • We cannot see itBecause everything is end-to-end encrypted, we have no technical access to which sources anyone configures or what they play.
  • Secure connections onlyThe app rejects any list not served over HTTPS. An unencrypted list would expose your username and password on every request.
  • Each user answers for their own listUsers configure sources they have themselves arranged, and are responsible for holding the rights needed to access them.
